As a Senior Android Engineer at Super, you will help shape the future of our product by bringing beautiful designs to life through clean, reusable, and maintainable code. You will work closely with a diverse team of engineers, product managers, and designers to drive how we engage, retain, and reward our customers. Our app reaches millions of users monthly across the globe, creating complex and interesting challenges around scalability, reliability, legal compliance, and security.

What The Role Involves

• Develop and maintain reusable, maintainable, and high-quality code for our Android applications.
• Ensure code is optimised for performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate closely with the product team to conceptualise, design, and implement new features and innovative experiments.
• Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, providing technical insights to shape product ideas.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our technology stack, adopting best practices and exploring new tools and frameworks.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in Android app development with a strong portfolio of applications.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, and a deep understanding of the Android SDK.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Excellent knowledge of architectural and design patterns.
• Strong experience working with Git versioning tools.
• Commitment to code quality, testing, and documentation.
  
  

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Rx and coroutines for asynchronous programming.
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks.
• Proficiency with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.
• Strong skills in benchmarking and optimisation to enhance app performance.
