Senior Backend Developer

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services powering our lending, campaign, and financial product domains
• Build and evolve microservice-based architectures with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Develop integrations with banking partners, fintech providers, and internal platforms
• Collaborate closely with product managers, mobile engineers, data teams, and business stakeholders to deliver customer-facing features
• Take ownership of technical solutions from design to production deployment
• Contribute to AI-assisted software development workflows and help drive engineering productivity improvements
• Support cross-platform product development by contributing to small and medium-sized iOS and Android enhancements when required
• Improve system observability, operational excellence, and software quality through testing, monitoring, and automation
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices across the team

What You'll Bring

• 4+ years of professional backend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of microservice architectures, distributed systems, and event-driven design
• Experience building transactional systems where consistency, traceability, and reliability are critical
• Experience working with PostgreSQL, Redis, and message-driven systems such as Kafka
• Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with API client frameworks such as OpenFeign is a plus
• Good understanding of software design principles, clean architecture, and testing practices
• Experience working with containerized environments and Kubernetes-based deployments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools such as Jenkins
• Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Kibana, Instana, Grafana, Datadog, or similar tools
• Understanding of production operations, alerting, incident management, and system reliability principles
• Curiosity and willingness to contribute beyond backend development boundaries
• Exposure to iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin) development is a strong plus
• Experience using AI-powered development tools and agentic coding workflows is a plus
• Experience in fintech, banking, lending, payments, or other regulated industries is a strong plus
• Fluent English communication skills
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
