Interaction/UX Designer

Responsibilities

• Lead and carry out user research activities to understand users’ goals, behaviours, and needs
• Develop user models based on research insights, as well as models for other relevant domain factors
• Define context scenarios and communicate stories around the ideal user experiences the team aims to achieve
• Describe product or system capabilities and requirements that support users’ goals and tasks, including what successful interactions should look like
• Design the overall system structure, behaviour, information flows, and workflows
• Test and refine the product through evaluative research to ensure the design helps users meet their goals and complete their tasks
• Build empathy and understanding for users

Qualifications

• Educational background in a design discipline such as Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Able to propose design decisions that are desirable for users, viable for the business, and technically feasible
• Strong understanding of underlying technology and digital mediums, such as how a web browser works and renders pixels on screen. Coding knowledge will be an added advantage
• Portfolio of shipped digital projects that are currently in use
• Preferably experienced in developing public-facing eServices
• Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD
