What's my job?

Located in our Sydney or Melbourne office, you're a Data Analyst in the Plus Also Studios team. Your job is to turn data into decisions, extracting insights from complex datasets to inform client projects and internal initiatives. You'll work across data visualisation, pipeline automation, and cross-team collaboration, with a stack that includes Tableau, Python, BigQuery, and GCP. The work spans both the technical and the strategic, and the best outcomes happen when those two things connect.

A day in the life

• Partner with the Plus Also Studios team and H+Co engineering, data, and media to contribute to data strategies that support client projects.
• Set up and maintain measurement frameworks for Plus Also generated assets.
• Manage ETL/ELT processes to keep data flowing cleanly between platforms - primarily Tableau and BigQuery within GCP, with Looker Studio, Power BI, Databricks, AWS, and Azure in the mix from time to time.
• Build dashboards and reports that make complex data easy to understand for technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
• Use Python and SQL for data analysis and automation, drawing on libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
• Audit client data stacks to identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Collaborate on creative tech projects, ensuring data analytics are embedded throughout.

• You can translate complex data into a clear, compelling story for a room full of people who didn't study statistics.
• Stakeholders come back to you - not just for the numbers, but because you make the numbers mean something.
• You spot opportunities where data can drive innovation before anyone else asks.

Other things that would make you excel?

• Around 3-4 years of experience in a data analyst role.
• Strong proficiency in Tableau (your primary BI tool) and solid SQL and Python skills.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and cloud data platforms, particularly BigQuery and GCP.
• Comfortable working across a range of BI tools (Looker Studio, Power BI) and cloud environments including Databricks, AWS, and Azure.
• Experience working in an agency or client-facing environment.
• A proactive mindset. You don't wait to be asked, you find where data can add value and go there.
