RF NOC Engineer (Remote – Argentina)

We are partnering with a U.S.-based technology company building a next-generation, space-based cellular broadband network designed to deliver 4G/5G connectivity everywhere on Earth—on land, at sea, and in the air—directly to standard mobile devices.

As part of its growing global operations, the company is expanding its Network Operations Center (NOC) capabilities and is seeking an RF NOC Engineer based in Argentina to join its remote operations team.

This position plays a critical role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting the RF and satellite communications infrastructure that enables a global network of gateways, telemetry stations, and satellite connectivity systems.

Role Overview

The RF NOC Engineer is responsible for real-time monitoring, incident response, and first-line technical support for RF, satellite, and telecommunications systems across a globally distributed network.

The role focuses on ensuring service availability, maintaining RF performance, diagnosing communication issues, and supporting operational continuity while working closely with engineering and operations teams in a fully remote environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesRF Network Monitoring & Operations
  • Monitor the health, performance, and connectivity of RF and satellite communication systems.
  • Track operational status of gateways, telemetry stations, antennas, and related infrastructure.
  • Analyze alarms, performance metrics, and network events to ensure service availability.
  • Operate and maintain monitoring and fault management systems for RF and communications networks.
Incident Management & Troubleshooting
  • Detect, investigate, and troubleshoot RF, satellite, and network anomalies.
  • Perform first-level root cause analysis and escalate complex incidents when necessary.
  • Support fault isolation involving antenna systems, modems, converters, amplifiers, and baseband equipment.
  • Maintain accurate incident records, trouble tickets, and operational reports.
Technical Support
  • Provide first-line technical support through phone, email, and chat.
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for satellite teleport and RF infrastructure.
  • Assist with diagnostics and recovery procedures for communication systems and network equipment.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot signal quality, link performance, and equipment status.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with RF engineers, network engineers, field operations, and NOC teams during incident resolution and maintenance activities.
  • Support system upgrades, network changes, and operational readiness initiatives.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and emergency response activities.
Minimum QualificationsLocation
  • Must be based in Argentina.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
Experience & Education
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in RF Operations, Satellite Communications, Telecommunications, or Network Operations Centers.
  • Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Technical Skills
  • Hands-on experience with RF systems, including HPAs, LNAs, up/down converters, antenna drive systems, modems, and baseband equipment.
  • Understanding of satellite communications architecture and RF signal paths.
  • Knowledge of IP networking, fiber optics, and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Experience using monitoring, fault management, and network diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity with remote support and troubleshooting environments.
Operational Skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively to operational incidents.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, mission-critical operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in satellite teleport operations, satellite service providers, or telecommunications NOCs.
  • Familiarity with 4G/5G network infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of spectrum management, RF performance monitoring, and link-budget concepts.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical communications environments.
