Senior Data Engineer

At Dataminded, data engineers are at the heart of what we do. We are currently looking for senior data engineers to take care of the most challenging and hairy data projects and help our customers and talented team grow.

What you'll be doing

- Understand customer needs, maturity, and ambitions

- Know what lives with your stakeholders and make them successful

- Architect, develop and deploy a wide range of data applications, in the cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

- Design complex analytics solutions with large data sets on distributed systems

- Set and direct the technology vision of an entire data product or service

- Provide thought leadership for customers and partners to help them understand the data & analytics landscape

- Understand and communicate industry and functional context

What you'll need to succeed

- Over 5 years of experience in software development, problem-solving and consulting, with expertise in rolling out new technology and solutions

- Excellent coding skills (C, Scala, Java, Python, Golang, etc.)

- A very good understanding of cloud possibilities and limitations in distributed systems, load balancing and networking, massive data storage, and security

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- A passion for cloud and data

- Experience with big data technologies, tools and programming languages is an important plus

- Excellent English; willingness to learn Dutch and/or French
