What We’re Looking For

✔️ You have a Master's degree in IT/Computer Science/Software Engineering and preferably at least 3 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering

✔️ Passion for building reliable, scalable systems. You understand technical tradeoffs and make pragmatic decisions on infrastructure and tooling.

✔️ Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines.

✔️ Experience mentoring engineers, raising the operational bar across a team, and influencing infrastructure and reliability decisions beyond your own scope.

✔️ Experience supporting AI-driven applications in production (e.g. model serving, GPU infrastructure, or observability for AI workloads are a plus).

Technical Skills:

✔️ Scripting (Bash and Python; Go is a plus)

✔️ Networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, load balancers, TLS and certificates, etc.)

✔️ Identity and access management (role design, short lived credentials)

✔️ Secrets management (rotation, encryption keys, etc.)

✔️ Release engineering and deployment strategies you can roll out

✔️ Operating distributed OLTP, OLAP, and document databases (experience managing OLTP databases is most important)

✔️ Reliability and operations: observability, tracing, and alerting; defining and enforcing SLOs, incident response times, and postmortems; making developers' lives easier through tooling, CI checks, and similar

✔️ Disaster recovery posture (geo redundant backups, recovery procedures, RTO and RPO targets and testing)

What You’ll Do

✔️ You'll own the infrastructure behind our recruitment platform, which runs on Typescript and Node.js, keeping it fast, secure, and scalable.

✔️ You'll build and improve our CI/CD pipelines, observability, and cloud setup, ensuring all systems can support the growth of our customer base.

✔️ You'll set the technical direction for major parts of our infrastructure, leading design discussions and reviewing changes to keep reliability high as the team scales.

We talk through a complex infrastructure problem we face at Spott to learn more about how you approach architecture, tradeoffs, and decision-making as a senior engineer
