We are looking for a Hardware Engineer to join Adacel Technologies Estonian remote tower team. We are developing world-class novel technologies for remote air traffic control integrating radars, cameras, and radio that comms into AI enabled surveillance system of airports. The Hardware Engineer designs, integrates and maintains the safety-critical infrastructure used in Digital Air Traffic Control Towers.


Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Design, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot complex sensory hardware—including ultra-high definition visual and infrared camera arrays, pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) units, airfield radar systems, ruggedized enclosures and meteorological sensors.
  • Integration of high-speed data acquisition systems to capture real-time video.
  • Knowledge of power management systems.
  • Collaboration with infrastructure engineers to guarantee network stability and security.
  • Develop the hardware sections of the system administration, installation and maintenance manuals.
  • Deployment and support of Remote Tower System.
  • Package, automate and document the installation procedures of the hardware components.
  • Support the hardware of our test bed and lab environments.
  • Cross-functional knowledge sharing with the Infrastructure Engineer to ensure full redundancy of responsibilities and deliverables.


As a successful candidate you must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer systems, aerospace engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of applicable experience.
  • Experience with issue tracking systems (JIRA, Redmine or similar).
  • Sound experience and understanding of IP networking (routing, VPNs, multicast).
  • Excellent Linux- skills.
  • Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to work across multiple software platforms.
  • Proficiency in Estonian and English language.


It is important to know that the position may require travelling. The candidate must be able to travel to

Canada, United States and other countries if it´s needed.
