Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a growing Data Science team focused on transforming complex data into actionable business insights and scalable solutions.
This role offers the opportunity to work with large-scale structured datasets, leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and cloud technologies to solve real-world business challenges. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing predictive models, uncovering valuable insights, and driving data-led decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Apply advanced machine learning techniques, statistical models, and cloud technologies to extract value from large datasets.
- Lead data science projects from inception through to deployment, delivering actionable insights that support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Data teams to define business problems and design analytical solutions.
- Analyse, model, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimisation.
- Develop visualisations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Perform data exploration, cleansing, preparation, modelling, prediction, clustering, and statistical analysis.
- Translate analytical outcomes into meaningful recommendations that drive business impact.
- Support the deployment of scalable machine learning solutions in production environments.
- Champion best practices in data science, analytics, and machine learning.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in a Data Science or Advanced Analytics role.
- Strong understanding of machine learning methodologies, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.
- Experience developing and presenting model outputs to engineers, stakeholders, and business users.
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, inference, predictive modelling, clustering, classification, regression, and anomaly detection.
- Experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets.
- Proficiency in Python and/or R, SQL, and data visualisation tools such as Tableau.
- Ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated experience translating data insights into business recommendations.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with predictive maintenance, reliability modelling, survivability analysis, or asset performance management.
- Exposure to cloud-based data science and machine learning platforms.
- Project leadership experience, including project planning, estimation, and stakeholder management.
- Experience working with engineering, manufacturing, industrial, transportation, automotive, or IoT-related datasets.
- Further postgraduate education in a relevant discipline would be advantageous.
