Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated LLM engineer to join our data science and software development team. The primary responsibility of this role to fine tune and implement pretrained Large Langue Models (LLMs). You further collaborate with various stakeholders to identify

other potential use cases. Once you've build a successful prototype, you work closely together with our software engineers to translate your Proof Of Concept (POC) into a mature software product. When more traditional natural language processing (NLP) algorithms suffice, you train, test and implement the appropriate models (e.g. named entity recognition, text classification or categorization, ...).

Key Responsibilities

  • brainstorm with stakeholders, identify potential use cases, document user and functional requirements
  • translate requirements into data pipeline, model and software architecture (you will be assisted by a data engineer and software architect)
  • fine tune and implement LLM models, test and optimize model performance
  • develop scalable, performant and reliable NLP algorithms
  • define, conduct and evaluate POCs
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed LLM models and NLP algorithms in mature software applications


Skills & Qualifications

  • Master degree in computer science or related filed
  • 7 years of work experience
  • proven experience developing NLP algorithms and implementing LLM technology
  • proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++
  • experience with NLP frameworks and libraries (spaCy, NLTK, PyTorch, Tensorflow, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face)
  • strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning techniques
  • strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • fluent in English and Dutch
  • analytical mindset, pragmatic problem solver
  • ability to collaborate in cross functional teams
  • previous experience in the pharmaceutical or other strongly regulated industry is a plus
