Agentic Software Engineer - Frontend & Verification (React / TypeScript)
We're building a new iGaming platform - and we're building it in a new way. We don't want someone to write React by hand and use AI on the side. We want someone to direct AI coding agents to build the frontend, and own the verification that makes their output trustworthy. Your job is less "write the code" and more "decide what good looks like, get the agents to produce it, and prove it's correct and safe before it ships." If that sounds like the future you want to be early to, read on.
Your challenges will include
- Orchestrate agents to build the frontend in React + TypeScript: turning product goals into clear, well-scoped tasks with explicit acceptance criteria, then reviewing, correcting, and iterating on what the agents produce.
- Own verification. Build the layer that lets us trust agent output without reading every line: meaningful automated tests, adversarial fixtures (we handle untrusted user input), type safety, and CI gates. On this team this is the most important work, not an afterthought.
- Distrust output by default, especially around untrusted user content and security, and build the checks that turn that instinct into something automated.
- Help shape the workflow itself. Alongside our experienced engineers and data scientists, you'll develop the agentic engineering paradigm we'll extend across the stack.
Requirements
- Real engineering fundamentals. You can read code and judge whether it's correct, safe, and well-built. You can't verify what you don't understand. This matters more than years on a CV.
- A verification instinct. Your first question about any code is "how do I prove this is right and safe?", not "does it run?" You know coverage is not confidence.
- Clear thinking about tasks. You can break a goal into well-scoped pieces with checkable acceptance criteria: the raw material agents run on.
- Genuine tool optimism. You're excited to build pipelines with coding agents, not just chat with a model, and you want to push how much of the work the workflow can carry.
- Solid React + TypeScript, with care for the things that bite: rendering untrusted content safely, error and loading states, accessibility, and types that actually catch mistakes.
- Comfort in the plumbing: git, CI, REST APIs, and a willingness to learn Supabase/Fly.io if they're new to you.
- A background in ML, evals, or anywhere you've had to measure whether a system's output is "good enough" is a real plus. That mindset is exactly what verifying agent output demands, and you'll have data scientists alongside you who think the same way.
