Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a US public road. Today our award-winning technology has been launched across 8 countries (and counting). Our clients are some of the world’s biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies. We are also operating Sweden’s largest truck dedicated public charging network and counting.
As a Software Engineer within the Control Tower team at Einride you will be a part of the team responsible for the system that allows Einride’s operators to monitor and assist our autonomous vehicles from a remote location. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with your Team Lead and Product Manager to drive the team's vision forward. You will act as a key bridge, collaborating closely with various other teams across the organization to build and refine our Autonomous Drive software.

You will be
- Developing core tools for human assistance for the autonomous driving system, improving safety and efficiency of our autonomous fleet operations.
- Designing and implementing low-latency data streaming pipelines that connect our autonomous vehicles with remote operators over wireless 5G networks.
- Contributing to system and safety design, ensuring our tech stack meets the highest standards.
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field.
- Have a strong foundation in software design, version control and automated software testing, good knowledge of software development lifecycle, data structures and algorithms.
- Are an experienced user of Linux-based operating systems.
- Have a good understanding of network protocols (IPv4, IPv6, UDP, TCP, TLS, HTTP).
- Are a naturally curious, self-directed person who thrives when solving complex engineering problems.
- Communicate fluently in English.
- Rust and/or Golang programming languages.
- Cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform or other cloud provider)
- gRPC or similar RPC frameworks
- Development of safety critical and real-time systems
