Your role in the team

We are now building a new platform supporting central processes and we are looking for the engineer who will own it from the ground up. This is the first internal engineering hire for our new platform. In the build phase you will work alongside an external delivery partner, then progressively lead the transition into full in-house ownership. You are the technical anchor of the platform: you shape its architecture from day one, set the engineering standards, and become the constant that a small in-house team grows around. It is a rare mix of greenfield design, real ownership, and long-term impact.

Mission

• Own the technical direction and architecture of the platform, aligned with business goals
• Ensure the platform stays reliable, maintainable, and scalable as it grows
• Raise engineering standards and grow the team's technical capability
  
  

Your Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the platform architecture
• Develop and own backend services across core domains
• Build and maintain the platform foundation: CI/CD, IaC, cloud operations
• Mentor team members and uphold engineering standards
  
  

What We Expect From You

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, including senior-level responsibility
• Solid cloud experience, including running production workloads
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD
• Seniority and structured thinking to make decisions independently and set standards

Skills

• Backend development with Java/Spring and event-driven architectures
• Cloud platforms (Azure) and relational databases
• Infrastructure-as-Code and modern CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions)
• Strong communication in a distributed, international team (English is our working language)
