Investment Banking Long-Term Intern

Role Holder is responsible from assisting and supporting the Investment Banking team during day-to-day processes & tasks related to research, origination, execution of various M&A / Advisory & Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM) as well as debt finance products,

• Corporate Finance products and services such as M&A / Advisory and Equity Capital Markets
• Debt Finance products and services such as Conventional & Islamic Debt Capital Markets, Syndicated & Club Facilities, Project Finance, and Acquisition Financing
• Ensures compliance with Global Standards, risk policies, and HSBC values

Following tasks are undertaken as part of support / assistance processes:

• Assisting on preparation of proposals, teasers, information memorandums and investor materials
• Conducting industry, company-specific and macroeconomic research
• Supporting on structuring financial models and conducting valuation analysis (trading comps, DCF, 3 statement analysis, etc.)
• Ability to interact with the people effectively and efficiently in a professional manner
• Preparing daily market update reports, tracking the news and preparing summaries about key recent events

Qualifications

• Knowledge on Investment Banking, Corporate Finance and Debt Finance products
• Extensive understanding on building financial models and preparing client presentations for M&A, ECM, DCM and alternative financing products
• Excellent Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) skills
• VBA / Python and other applicable coding skills are plus
• Highly interested in understanding and proficiency of capital markets
• Strong academic background, studying / graduated from top tier universities’ Engineering, Economics or Business Administration faculties
• Previous internship / full-time experience in finance is required, experience in Investment Banking is preferred
• Being able to work from office, 5-days a week
• Fluency and strong presentation skills in English and Turkish
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high level of performance
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and interpretative skills
• Robust communication skills
• Being adaptive, resilient, and multi-tasking
