Currently, for the new Seargin project we are looking for Senior Network Engineer.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years’ experience with industrial networking hardware, especially Cisco IE / Stratix switches and routers.
- Expert-level technical background in High-complexity Networking solutions and implementation strategies and understanding of IT and OT convergence
- Strong understanding of industrial Ethernet technologies, including STP/RSTP/MSTP, DLR, VLANs, routing fundamentals, and redundancy mechanisms (e.g., PRP, HSR, REP).
- Deep understanding of Ethernet networking protocols and their operation.
- Ability to build, configure, and maintain industrial Ethernet test environments, including network topologies, traffic generation, and diagnostic setups.
- Proficiency with network management and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, packet analyzers, traffic generators, and industrial network monitoring software.
- Experience implementing and troubleshooting IT/OT converged network solutions, including segmentation, security, and interoperability considerations.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing network behavior, firmware issues, and communication faults.
- Ability to create clear test plans, test cases, and defect reports, and maintain accurate test documentation.
- Solid understanding of verification and validation practices, quality processes, and defect tracking systems.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering teams.
- Commitment to continuous learning, staying current with networking technologies, industrial automation trends, and testing methodologies
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive tests for industrial communication products, including Ethernet switches, network modules, and embedded communication interfaces.
- Create, maintain, and evolve test environments, including network topologies, hardware setups, and automated test frameworks tailored to communication centric devices.
- Troubleshoot complex network setups, including switch configurations, routing behavior, VLANs, redundancy protocols, and industrial network technologies (e.g., DLR, PRP, CIP, EtherNet/IP).
- Be a primary technical owner for escalated customer issues involving industrial networking technologies, industrial Ethernet, fieldbus systems, and OT/IT integration.
- Reproduce customer reported issues in industrial automation lab environments to validate findings and accelerate engineering analysis.
- Develop and execute functional, performance, stress, and interoperability tests using white box, grey box, and black box methodologies.
- Analyze test outcomes, identify anomalies, and document defects with clear reproduction steps and technical insights.
- Collaborate closely with firmware, hardware, and network engineers to investigate issues, validate fixes, and ensure robust product behavior under real world industrial conditions.
- Ensure thorough verification and validation coverage, contributing to product reliability, compliance, and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop new test cases and test assets as product features evolve, ensuring coverage of new communication protocols, firmware capabilities, and system interactions.
- Use specialized tools and analyzers (e.g., packet sniffers, protocol analyzers, traffic generators) to validate network behavior and diagnose communication issues.
- Participate in planning, estimation, and status discussions, helping define priorities, timelines, and deliverables for test activities.
- Continuously expand knowledge of networking technologies, industrial automation standards, and modern testing methodologies.
- Provide expert guidance to support teams, field service engineers, and customers during high severity incidents affecting production or safety critical systems.
- Monitor emerging IT/OT trends and new communication technologies, evaluating their relevance to Rockwell’s product ecosystem.
- Maintain accurate test documentation, including test plans, procedures, results summaries, and defect reports.
- Engage with subject matter experts to validate assumptions, explore solutions, and ensure evidence based decision making throughout development.
- Support long term test strategy improvements, including better automation coverage, improved test infrastructure, and enhanced diagnostic capabilities.
