Role Description The DevOps Manager role at ViewLift is a FTE, on-site position based in New York, NY. This role is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes for high-availability streaming applications. The DevOps Manager will collaborate with software development teams to streamline integration and release workflows, manage infrastructure provisioning and configuration, and ensure reliable, scalable cloud environments. Daily responsibilities include monitoring system performance, optimizing build and test automation, improving deployment reliability, and driving incident response and root-cause analysis. The individual in this role will also mentor DevOps engineers, establish best practices, and partner with security and operations teams to maintain compliance, resilience, and cost efficiency across environments.


Qualifications

  • Strong background in Software Development practices to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and support robust release processes.
  • Experience with Test Automation tools and frameworks to ensure quality and reliability in continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Integration and Continuous Integration concepts to design, implement, and optimize CI/CD workflows for complex distributed systems.
  • Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure management, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS and or GCP), containerization, orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Demonstrated experience managing DevOps or platform engineering teams, with the ability to set standards, coach team members, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar) and incident management best practices.
  • Familiarity with security, compliance, and reliability


Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000
