Junior DevOps Engineer

Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite)

Salary: $65k-$85k

Overview

Our client is a rapidly growing cybersecurity software company seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to support the automation, deployment, and maintenance of critical infrastructure and software systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career DevOps professional who is eager to expand their skills in cloud technologies, automation, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with automating deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management processes Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software releases
• Help manage and improve on-premises infrastructure, including virtual machines, Docker, and Hyper-V environments
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements
• Support configuration management initiatives using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef Assist with containerized applications and orchestration platforms including Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with software developers and operations teams to implement DevOps best practices Help maintain security standards, compliance requirements, and system reliability
• Document infrastructure, configurations, processes, and system changes

Required Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
• Experience or familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Understanding of networking, security, and system administration fundamentals
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Git version control
• Exposure to monitoring and logging platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack
• Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of Agile development and DevOps methodologies

Work Environment

• Full-time onsite position in Orlando, Florida
• Collaborative office environment with occasional travel as needed
