Job Summary

The Developer for Card Technology on IST/Switch system is a vital member of the Cards team and its Subject Matter Experts. The developer is responsible for not only doing the development in IST but also interacting with the business unit to define requirements from a card technology perspective and for monitoring vendor Service Level Agreements for issue resolution. This role also involves ensuring full compliance with Payment Schemes, Domestic Switch, and CB internal audit requirements, controlling and improving MAR of Payment Schemes and regulators mandates, developing and supporting new functionality and integrations with other banks' systems, and evaluating areas of improvement and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Cards team to build and maintain the technical aspects of Services.
• Design and Development of solutions around Cards Domain and more specifically around IST Switch
• Executing Projects implementation and Compliance items
• Following Corporate standards and practices.
• Support and major issue investigation and resolution, concluded in comprehensive RCA report.
• Assessment and propose redesign of the Cards systems setup to meet new Payment industry trends and Business requirements
• Review and assessment of Vendors proposed solution in the scope of the projects and requirements in relation to Business demands
• Collaborative design of the Cards solution with vendors (PDP/SOW)
• Design and execution of data migrations, ensuring the highest levels data integrity and accuracy, and best possible performance.
• Implementation of new technologies around Acquiring and Issuing for Cards Domain
  
  

Key Competencies

ATM (mandatory)

• Experience of ATM state programming in IST compiler
• Ability to enhance the existing code to support new transaction types flow.
• Ability to add new services based on business requirement
• Good understanding of NDC and DDC protocols.
  
  

IST/Switch (Mandatory)

• IST/Switch architecture knowledge
• Experience of development to integrate site specific message protocol with IST code Module
• Experience in ATM/POS acquiring experience
• Ability to identify the root cause from the log warning/error message to isolate the issue
• Ability to resolve the issue by using the ATM/POS utility
• Expertise in IST/Switch parameters setup
• Knowledge of Data consistency and purging processes
• Knowledge of Tokenization configuration
• Should have good knowledge in ATM/POS configuration and impact
• Should have good knowledge in routing the transaction to various issuers Knowledge in IST SDK API handling
• Should have strong knowledge of various IST/Switch interfaces and be capable of developing new in-house interfaces.
  
  

Keys / Simulators

• Well versed with Visa, MasterCard, FIME, ATM test simulators and able to manage End to End testing.
• Good Understanding of Encryption Keys Methodologies and Algorithms
• Strong knowledge of HSM it’s configurations and commands
• Strong knowledge of EMV and its data attributes and processes involved in personalization and authorization.
• Experience in implementing Encryption Keys on Hosts, POS Terminals & Payment Schemes ( Visa / MasterCard /Diners)

• New Payment schemes launch experience
• Completed migration project to/from IST/Switch, development and design of the migration
• System Data integrity validation and fixing
• Qatar national switch experience Issuing Acquiring certification (is a Plus)
• Global Payment Schemes Issuing and Acquiring certification
• Chip Cards personalization and requirement of Payment schemes
• Cards financials disputes investigations.
• Implementation of PCI-DSS
• Managing planning, Development System Migration with minimum BAU interruption.
• Cards Domain accounting, reconciliation and settlement knowledge
• Ability to work in a team environment, independently, take direction, detail-oriented approach.
• Data analytic skills Strong verbal and written skills.
• Knowledge in software development, lifecycle methodology and support documentation
  
  

Qualifications, Expereinces

• Minimum 7 years of experience IST Switch as a developer.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ATM/POS Switches Environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Credit/Debit Card Systems.
• Full knowledge of Payment Schemes regulation and standard on transactions processing and Cards issuance
• Experience of Host and Terminal certification.
• Tokenization implementation and technology understanding
