The opportunity:

Join us as an experienced Mechanical Engineer to act as Discipline Lead at corporate level to lead the Engineering, Design and coordination of critical systems including HVAC, Cleanroom, Water treatment systems, Compressed Clean Dry Air (CDA), Process Vacuum, Process Exhaust, Firefighting system, Fuel Supply System (HSD tank, pump & controls),Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Material handling systems, Tanks, Elevators, This role is pivotal in ensuring that all systems are designed to meet performance, safety, regulatory, and sustainability standards across Semiconductor, Power and Metal EPC projects.

Responsibilities:

Engineering & Design Management

• Oversee the engineering and design of all mechanical systems ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Establish package-wise SOPs, guidelines, and design standards to streamline engineering deliverables.
• Drive design excellence through regular reviews, value engineering, and constructability assessments.
• Lead/oversee 3D model reviews, safety audits, quality reviews, and site mock-up validations with clients and consultants.

Functional &Leadership

• Act as Discipline Lead of Utilities and Material Handling at the Head Office, reporting to the Head of Heavy Industrial Engineering.
• Define and implement engineering execution strategies for projects and proposals.
• Drive discipline-level standardization, best practices, and continuous capability enhancement.

Resource Planning & Team Development

• Lead manpower planning in consultation with the Engineering Management Team.
• Develop and maintain resource deployment plans and initiate hiring requirements.
• Mentor and develop engineers, assistant engineers, and trainees to build a strong technical pipeline.
• Lead and supervise engineers, designers, and modelers to ensure high-quality outputs.

Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including clients, consultants, and third-party vendors.
• Ensure cross-functional coordination with Plant Engineering, Process, Civil & Structural, Electrical, Piping, ELV, I&C, Plumbing & Sanitary, Planning, Procurement, and Project Teams.
• Support teams in managing consultants and contractors for timely and cost-effective delivery.

Project Execution & Risk Management

• Analyze project requirements, identify critical risks, and drive mitigation strategies through periodic reviews.
• Monitor engineering performance and proactively implement corrective actions to safeguard timelines, quality, and profitability.
• Provide technical guidance during construction, commissioning, and handover phases.

Process Improvement & Governance

• Develop and implement discipline-specific best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Standardize documentation, engineering processes, and design tools.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, statutory, and sustainability standards.

Education & Experience:

BE or B. Tech or M Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 25+ years of experience in Semiconductor, Power generation, Metal Industrial projects is preferred. People management skills to lead large teams and projects.
