In this position you will be located in the manufacturing unit in Jhajjar.

As a Cyber Information Security Officer (junior level), you will play a key role in establishing, operating, and continuously improving cyber and information security at Saab’s manufacturing facility in Jhajjar.

The facility operates within the defence sector and is owned by Saab, requiring strict compliance with both Saab internal security frameworks and applicable Indian laws and regulations.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with:

• Saab corporate policies and security governance
• SMLDI (Security Manual for Licensed Defence Industries)
• Indian IT Act and related regulations
  
  
  

The role is deliberately broad and hands-on. In addition to core CISO responsibilities at the plant, you will support:

• Identity, access, and security automation tasks
• Coordination with local IT support and external partners
  
  
  

You will work closely the plant´s Company Chief Security Officer (CCSO) and have a close cooperation with Saab´s Cyber and Security sections.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintain awareness of emerging threats and vulnerabilities
• Responsibility for local cyber and information security in the plant
• Implementing and maintaining compliance with Saab and Indian security requirements
• Supporting and perform audits, inspections, and compliance activities
• Serving as the interface between local operations and Saab’s central security functions

Your profile

We are looking for a trusted and pragmatic IT security professional who is comfortable operating across cyber security, information security, and IT operations, and who can balance regulatory compliance with operational realities.

Required qualifications and experience:

• You have at least 1-2 years of exposure and hands on experience of SMLDI
• Documented experience of working with the IT Act
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber and information security systems, preferably in regulated or industrial environments
• Good understanding of security governance, risk management, audit and compliance
• Ability to work with both corporate global frameworks and local regulatory requirements
• Strong communication skills in both Hindi and English to be able to work with stakeholders at different levels
  
  
  

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Experience supporting or coordinating IT systems, infrastructure, or hardware is beneficial
• Experience of working in an international environment
• Experience of working in defence industries

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection.
