Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Una, HP, India, invites applications for Assistant Professor Positions at IIIT-Una from eligible and interested candidates.

About- IIIT Una is one of the 20 IIITs being set up, funded, and managed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The partners setting up IIIT Una are the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, HP Power Corporation Limited, and HP Transmission Corporation Limited. Admissions to the undergraduate programs in the Institute are made through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Una (IIIT Una), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for regular faculty positions across its Schools of Computing, Electronics, and Basic Sciences. The recruitment is for multiple levels including Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor Grade-I, and Assistant Professor Grade-II under a four-tier flexible cadre structure.

Eligibility / Qualification

Professor

• PhD in relevant discipline
• 15 years teaching/research experience
• Minimum 10 SCI/SCIE/SCOPUS publications
• 4 PhD supervised
• Research projects + academic leadership required
  
  

Associate Professor

• PhD required
• 6 years experience as Assistant Professor Grade-I
• Minimum 6 indexed publications
• At least 1 PhD awarded + supervision experience
  
  

Assistant Professor (Grade-I)

• PhD required
• 3 years experience as Grade-II
• Research publications in indexed journals
• PhD supervision + sponsored project experience
  
  

Assistant Professor (Grade-II)

• PhD in relevant discipline
• First class in UG & PG (or equivalent CGPA ≥ 6.5)
  
  

Job Description

Selected faculty members will be responsible for:

• Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses
• Conducting high-quality research and publishing in indexed journals
• Supervising PhD and research scholars
• Securing funded research projects and consultancy
• Academic administration and institutional development
• Participating in outreach programs, workshops, and academic leadership activities
