Software Engineer C+ HFT- Remote

Location: Remote (EU) Must be located in Europe!

Our client is a proprietary quantitative trading firm building ultra-low-latency trading systems across global markets. Engineering sits at the core of the business, with small, highly technical teams developing the infrastructure that powers systematic trading strategies.

The Role

You'll design and build performance-critical trading infrastructure using modern C++, working alongside quantitative researchers, FPGA engineers and infrastructure specialists. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on solving complex latency and scalability challenges in a greenfield environment with minimal legacy technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise ultra-low-latency trading systems using modern C++
• Design high-performance, multi-threaded components for production trading platforms
• Improve latency, throughput and overall system performance
• Contribute to architecture, code reviews and engineering best practices
• Work closely with researchers and infrastructure teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions

Requirements

• Strong commercial C++ experience (C++17/20 preferred)
• Excellent understanding of algorithms, data structures and concurrency
• Strong Linux development experience
• Experience building high-performance or low-latency systems
• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline

Experience with HFT, networking (TCP/UDP, multicast), Linux systems programming or financial markets is advantageous but not essential.
