Templeton & Partners - Innovative & Inclusive Hiring Solutions
United Kingdom · Contract · Mid-Senior

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support a major data and cloud transformation programme within a global enterprise environment. This role will suit someone who brings strong Agile leadership, excellent facilitation skills, and experience working in complex, cross-functional delivery settings.

Prior exposure to data ingestion or migration programmes will be highly valuable, along with experience using Databricks as a platform. You will work closely with product owners, engineering managers, UX designers, project teams, and business stakeholders to help teams improve delivery flow, strengthen collaboration, and adopt Lean-Agile ways of working.

Role overview

As Scrum Master, you will act as a coach and facilitator embedded within a cross-functional team, helping the group move through discovery, definition, and delivery phases effectively. You will support teams in applying Agile principles in a pragmatic way, combining encouragement with constructive challenge to enable continuous improvement.

You will also help maintain alignment between team-level delivery and broader programme objectives, ensuring transparency around dependencies, risks, impediments, and progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach cross-functional teams on Lean-Agile ways of working, identifying waste and improving feedback loops.
  • Mentor teams transitioning to Agile practices and new ways of working.
  • Contribute to the Agile Community of Practice, sharing Lean-Agile principles and practical methods.
  • Facilitate key ceremonies and workshops, including retrospectives, story mapping, value stream mapping, Scrum of Scrums, and product alignment sessions.
  • Ensure synchronisation between team-of-teams and team-level Agile cadences.
  • Maintain visibility of risks, dependencies, and impediments across the delivery landscape.
  • Support Agile reporting, including Jira queries and planned versus earned value reporting.
  • Foster psychological safety, collaboration, and a culture of continuous learning.
  • Work closely with the platform vertical lead to align delivery strategy with execution.
  • Assess team health and maturity, and support measurable improvements over time.

Required skills

  • Strong knowledge of Lean-Agile practices, facilitation, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Experience supporting transformation, business productization, ideation, design, development, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.
  • Ability to use standard Agile delivery tools and reporting platforms confidently.
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and influencing across functions.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable skills

  • Scrum Master certifications such as CSM, PSM I, PSM II, PSM III, CSP, or CTC.
  • Prior experience in data ingestion, migration, or cloud transformation programmes.
  • Familiarity with Databricks and related data platform delivery.

Programme context

This role sits within a major Products Data Exchange initiative focused on building modern data and technical foundations to enable cloud-based analytics, data science, and AI capabilities. The programme is designed to support a centralized, harmonized data repository and improve speed, agility, and global reporting outcomes.

The business case is centred on modernizing legacy on-premise data landscapes and enabling stronger technical capability to support future growth and strategic reporting needs.

What makes this role attractive

This is an opportunity to join a high-visibility transformation programme with real enterprise impact. You will be helping teams build better ways of working while contributing to a modern data platform journey that supports long-term business value.
