Senior Fullstack Engineer

Mulgrave, Melbourne (Hybrid: 3 days on-site) | Senior Software Engineer (.NET / React)

We are partnering with an Australian SaaS company entering an exciting new phase of growth.

Following the recent addition of four engineers, they’re continuing to expand their engineering team with another eight hires as they scale their platform locally and internationally.

The company builds software that helps automotive repair businesses operate more efficiently, and they’re investing heavily in the next evolution of their products.

The team is currently developing and rolling out a range of AI-powered capabilities, including intelligent estimating, workflow automation and data-driven business insights.

About the role

This is a Senior Fullstack Engineer role for someone who enjoys being close to the problem, not just the code.

You’ll work across the full product lifecycle — understanding customer challenges, shaping solutions with Product and Design, building scalable software, and seeing your work through into production.

They are looking for an engineer who is curious, pragmatic and enjoys solving complex problems. Someone who can look at a customer or business challenge, break it down, and work collaboratively to find the right technical solution.

You’ll have the opportunity to contribute across the stack, with flexibility around whether your strengths lean more backend or frontend.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and deliver customer-facing features across the full stack
• Translate product requirements and customer problems into scalable technical solutions
• Work closely with Product, Design and Engineering to shape new functionality
• Develop and enhance modern SaaS applications used across Australia and the UK
• Contribute to AI-powered product initiatives, including automation and intelligent insights
• Take ownership of features from discovery through development, testing and release
• Solve technical challenges with a focus on simplicity, scalability and customer impact
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Improve engineering practices, tooling and ways of working across the team
• Use modern AI tools to enhance productivity while applying strong engineering judgement

About you

You’re a senior engineer who enjoys building products and solving real-world problems.

You’ll have:

• Strong commercial experience with C# / .NET Core
• Experience building customer-facing software or SaaS products
• Experience working across frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript or similar
• A product mindset — you think about the “why” behind what you’re building, not just the requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguous challenges
• Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers and other engineers
• Ability to take ownership of work and drive outcomes independently
• Interest in using AI tools to improve development workflows
• A willingness to learn, experiment and adapt as the product evolves

Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD or infrastructure is highly regarded, but the biggest priority is someone who can think critically, communicate well and build great software.
