• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with iOS mobile software development.

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.

As an iOS engineer on the Photos Video Consumption team, you will play a critical role in this transformation by building a wide breadth of features - ranging from delightful, sit-back consumption journeys, through to smart utilities like finding exactly the right moment in the video and helping users to optimize their storage. This role offers a unique chance to shape how millions of users interact with video on Google Photos while deepening your expertise across the entire Photos iOS architecture.Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service developed by Google. Photos is one of the most sought after products at Google and is looking for both client-side (web and mobile), with server-side (search, storage, serving) and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) Software Engineers. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver high-quality, scalable iOS video features in a timely and efficient manner.
• Work with other engineers to define and continuously improve our software architecture, ensuring it remains reliable and easy to reason about.
• Mentor a small team of iOS engineers, actively creating development opportunities for yourself and others.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and engineering partners from a global team to drive successful outcomes on shared initiatives.
