Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Industrial, Warehousing & Data Centres

Location: Melbourne, Australia

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of industrial developments across Melbourne, with a strong focus on warehouses, logistics facilities, and data centre projects. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery, from design coordination and procurement through to construction, commissioning, and handover.

The ideal candidate will bring strong contractor-side or client-side experience in fast-paced industrial and mission-critical environments, with a proven ability to deliver large-scale, high-value projects on time, within budget, and to strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of industrial, warehousing, and data centre projects
  • Manage project scope, programme, budget, risks, and quality outcomes
  • Drive project execution from design development through to practical completion and handover

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as primary interface between client, consultants, contractors, and authorities
  • Facilitate clear communication across all project stakeholders
  • Manage expectations and ensure alignment with project objectives

Commercial & Contract Management

  • Oversee contract administration including head contracts and subcontract packages
  • Manage variations, claims, and cost reporting in collaboration with commercial teams
  • Ensure strong cost control and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle

Programme & Risk Control

  • Develop and maintain detailed project programmes
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively to avoid delays and cost overruns
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce high standards of safety across all project phases
  • Ensure compliance with Australian building codes, authority requirements, and client standards
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture on site

Key Requirements

  • 7–15+ years’ experience in construction project management
  • Proven track record delivering industrial, warehouse, logistics, or data centre projects
  • Strong knowledge of design & build delivery models
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects in Australia or comparable markets
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract management experience
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline

Preferred Experience

  • Data centre project delivery experience (mission-critical environments)
  • Experience with Tier 1 contractors or leading consultancy/client-side organisations
  • Familiarity with Australian construction standards and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong track record in fast-track programme delivery
