SDK Engineer — Publisher Integrations

Techunting
Argentina · Full-time · Not Applicable

We are seeking an SDK Engineer to join our Publisher Integrations team. This role is central to building, extending, and maintaining the mobile and server-side SDKs that power our AdGem suite of publisher integrations. You'll own the developer experience our publishers rely on—ensuring our SDKs are reliable, well-documented, and a pleasure to integrate.

Our SDKs are how publishers connect to AdGem. Today we ship production mobile SDKs for Android, iOS, and Unity, plus a React Native SDK that's currently a prototype and still needs to be hardened and fully brought to market. Looking ahead, we plan to create a set of client-language SDKs for our APIs, and we may expand to additional platforms such as Flutter as our publisher base grows. You'll bring dedicated mobile and SDK expertise to the team that owns these libraries.

Your first focus will be taking ownership of our existing mobile SDKs—getting hands-on with the Android, iOS, and Unity libraries to ship updates, improve reliability, and modernize them as platform requirements evolve—and bringing our React Native prototype to production. From there, you'll help create idiomatic client SDKs for our APIs and evaluate new platforms, raising the bar for how quickly and smoothly publishers can integrate.

Our Publisher Integrations team collectively owns these projects, and we're looking to deepen our mobile development and SDK expertise. Your role is to bring that expertise so we can invest in this area with the depth it deserves. If you thrive at the intersection of mobile engineering, clean API design, and developer experience, this role is for you.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and extend our production AdGem mobile SDKs across Android, iOS, and Unity—shipping updates, resolving issues, improving reliability, and keeping each SDK current with the latest platform requirements and store policies
  • Take our React Native SDK from prototype to production—hardening, documenting, and fully bringing it to market for publishers
  • Design and build client-language SDKs for our APIs so publishers can integrate faster with idiomatic libraries in their language of choice
  • Help evaluate and potentially build new SDKs as our publisher base grows—for example, a Flutter SDK—bringing our offerwall and rewarded experiences to additional platforms with clean, well-documented integration paths
  • Own the developer experience of our SDKs end-to-end—API ergonomics, sample apps, integration guides, versioning, and release management—so partner integrations are fast and painless
  • Partner with the Publisher Integrations team to ensure SDKs stay aligned with our APIs and Publisher Portal as those platforms evolve
  • Establish and improve testing, CI/CD, and release pipelines for SDK publishing across package managers (Maven, CocoaPods, npm, pub.dev, and similar)
  • Triage and resolve publisher-reported SDK issues, working directly with integration partners to debug and unblock production integrations
  • Write and maintain clear technical documentation, changelogs, and migration guides for each SDK
  • Monitor SDK performance, stability, and adoption in production, and drive improvements to size, latency, and battery/network efficiency on mobile
  • Share ownership of the team's broader projects, contributing to back-end work as priorities require
  • Stay current with mobile platform changes (iOS, Android), cross-platform frameworks, and SDK distribution best practices

Required Experience

We expect strong candidates to bring most of the following. If you are missing more than one or two, this likely isn’t the right fit.

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record of shipping and maintaining mobile applications or SDKs in production
  • Hands-on native mobile development experience with at least one of Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift/Objective-C), and comfort working across both
  • Experience with at least one cross-platform framework such as Flutter (Dart), React Native, or Unity
  • Demonstrated experience designing clean, well-documented public APIs or libraries intended for consumption by other developers
  • Strong understanding of SDK distribution and packaging—publishing to Maven/Gradle, CocoaPods/Swift Package Manager, npm, or pub.dev
  • Solid grasp of versioning, backward compatibility, and release management for libraries that external partners depend on
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working alongside back-end services
  • Comfort with testing and CI/CD for mobile and library projects
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear documentation and collaborate with integration partners, in both spoken and written English

Preferred Experience

These will set you apart but aren't required to apply.

  • Experience building or maintaining a Flutter SDK or plugin (platform channels, federated plugins, pub.dev publishing)
  • Experience authoring client-language SDKs or API client libraries across multiple languages
  • Familiarity with adtech, mobile advertising, or offerwall/rewarded ad units, and KPIs such as eCPM, CPI, and conversion rates
  • Back-end development experience (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go, or similar) to contribute to the team's API and Publisher Portal projects
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
  • Experience supporting external developers or partners through integration and developer-relations work
  • Comfort leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to accelerate engineering workflows

Culture Fit

  • Curious mindset with a drive to ask questions and uncover opportunities
  • Hustle and ownership mentality — you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves
  • Comfort with a Mission Aligned Team framework
  • Bias toward shipping and iterating — pragmatic about tradeoffs between scope and value
  • Energized by collaborating across product, engineering, and partner-facing teams
