About The Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer with strong backend expertise to join a long-term enterprise project based in Brussels.

You'll work on secure, enterprise-grade web applications using modern development practices while collaborating closely with architects, developers, and technical stakeholders. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on backend development, DevSecOps, and scalable application architecture.

This position requires on-site presence in Brussels three days per week. Remote work from outside Belgium is not permitted.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications with a strong backend focus.
  • Build scalable solutions using Symfony, PHP, SQL, Python, JavaScript, and HTML.
  • Develop and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Deploy and manage applications within Kubernetes environments.
  • Apply modern software engineering principles, including OOP, SOLID, and clean architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to application performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.


What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 11 years of combined academic and professional experience.
  • EU nationality.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Symfony, PHP, SQL, Python, JavaScript, and HTML.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles.
  • Experience building enterprise-scale applications.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in collaborative environments.
  • Ability to obtain (or already hold) a Personal Security Clearance.
  • At least one of the following certifications: Oracle Certified Professional, Java EE 8 / Java SE 17 or higher, PM² Agile, BPMN 2.0
  • Ability to work on-site in Brussels, Belgium, 3 days per week.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with API Platform and/or React.
  • Advanced DevSecOps and CI/CD architecture experience.
