AI/ML Engineer

YOUR PLACE IN THE SUN

As an AI / ML Engineer, you’ll help shape the next generation of intelligent software at Virto Solar. You’ll design, build and deploy machine learning solutions that solve real-world engineering challenges and create measurable value for our customers.

Working closely with software engineers, product managers and domain experts, you’ll bridge the gap between research and production by transforming innovative ideas into scalable AI-powered features. You’ll also help identify new opportunities where AI can improve our products, internal processes and development workflows.

HOW YOU’LL CATCH THE LIGHT

• Design, develop and deploy machine learning models for real-world applications
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines for training, validation and production workloads
• Prepare, clean and engineer data from multiple structured and unstructured sources
• Design experiments, evaluate model performance and continuously improve accuracy
• Integrate AI solutions into production software with scalability and reliability in mind
• Contribute to the architecture of our AI platform, including model serving, monitoring and versioning
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers and domain experts
• Explore new AI technologies, frameworks and methodologies that can create business value
• Help define best practices for AI development, deployment and MLOps

Contribute to the long-term AI strategy across our products and internal operations

YOUR RAYS OF EXPERTISE

• 3+ years in applied AI/ML, data science or ML engineering
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science or AI (or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with model development, experimentation, evaluation and deployment
• Comfortable with structured, time-series, geospatial or simulation-generated datasets
• Reliable data preprocessing and feature engineering pipelines
• Solid MLOps understanding: versioning, reproducible experiments, deployment and monitoring
• At ease collaborating with engineers on APIs, cloud infrastructure and scalable deployment
• Can reason about trade-offs: accuracy vs. runtime vs. cost vs. maintainability
• Interest in hybrid physics-ML approaches
• Curious about how AI creates value beyond individual models
• Strong communicator, proactive, comfortable in a remote team
• Fluent in English
• Excited to dive into the solar industry
