Nexeo is currently looking for an Android Developer Expert for one of the leading financial institutions in Belgium.

Your Responsibilities

• Translate business and functional requirements into high-quality Android solutions
• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Android applications using Kotlin
• Develop modern user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and Material 3 Design
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Analysts, UX/UI Designers, Testers, and Developers within Agile Scrum teams
• Integrate Android applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party solutions
• Ensure application performance, quality, security, and responsiveness across Android devices
• Develop and execute unit tests while promoting Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices
• Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and implement sustainable solutions
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and maintain high standards of code quality and automation

Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Android development
• Strong expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong knowledge of software craftsmanship, clean code principles, and code refactoring
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Team player with a collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge
• Passion for continuous learning and technical excellence
