Scrum Master

Looking for a freelance Scrum Master (ENG + NL/FR) for a project at one of our clients!

Location: Brussels Area, hybrid working (3 days homeworking)

Start date: Start of August

Duration: Until the end of 2026 (potentially renewable).

Employment Rate: full-time 100%

Languages: Fluent in English + fluency in either Dutch or French

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to coach and support five Agile teams with varying levels of maturity. You will foster an Agile mindset, continuous improvement, and evidence-based delivery within a large-scale digital transformation. This is a genuine Scrum Master role focused on coaching. Not Project Management, Product ownership, or Tech Lead.

Responsibilities

• Coach multiple Agile teams towards autonomy, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Facilitate Scrum events and adapt Agile practices to team maturity and context
• Promote Agile values, Lean thinking, and servant leadership
• Use delivery metrics, team health, and customer feedback to drive measurable improvements
• Support organizational agility beyond the team level
• Provide constructive coaching and facilitate change
• Collaborate with the Agile Chapter and contribute to Agile community initiatives

Experience & Competencies

• Minimum 3 years' experience as Scrum Master
• Experience supporting at least 2–3 Agile teams; experience across multiple companies is a strong plus
• Experience outside traditional IT environments is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and Agile principles
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
• Data-driven mindset with experience using delivery and team metrics
• Ability to work independently while aligning with organizational Agile objectives
• Passion for innovation and continuous experimentation
• Knowledge of Design Thinking and UX frameworks is a plus
• Fluent English required + fluency in Dutch or French (German is an asset)
