Python & SQL Developer

We specialize in providing comprehensive solutions to some of the most innovative startups globally, spanning areas such as application development, quality engineering, AI data preparation, data enrichment, search relevance, and content moderation.

Responsibilities

  • Execution of data architecture and data management projects for both new and established data sources.
  • Develop and enhance data platforms with a strong focus on SQL and Python.
  • Transition existing data sets and databases to new technology stacks as needed.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for data ingestion and publishing.
  • Perform data loads and data quality analysis to identify potential errors within the data platform.
  • Collaborate with operation teams to understand data flow, architecture, and gather functional requirements.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience in a data production environment, with a focus on adeptly managing vast volumes of intricate data.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in SQL programming, data architecture, and dimension modeling.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, including the ability to design and optimize complex queries for relational databases like MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, or Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, including libraries such as Beautiful Soup, Selenium, Requests, Pandas, and a good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in crafting efficient, reusable, and modular code.
  • Experience with basic data engineering skills such as:
  • Building and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Implementing data validation and quality checks.
  • Managing data storage solutions and optimizing performance.
  • Experience in mapping, standardizing, and normalizing data.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks and writing pipelines for loading millions of records is helpful.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git, effectively managing code repositories.
  • Strong analytical skills for addressing complex technical challenges, including proficiency in debugging and performance optimization techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to testing and deployment.
