Android Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Mission

As an Android Software Engineer (m/f/d), you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain the Android application of our own product. Working closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams, you will help deliver seamless user experiences and contribute to technical decisions across the full application lifecycle. This is a 12-month fixed-term position.

These are your tasks

• Dream Big, Build New: Help shape our Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) strategy and contribute to the future of our mobile architecture. Identify opportunities for shared business logic and bring forward ideas and architectural proposals.
• Own It & Move Fast: Take ownership of the full Android application lifecycle — from architecture and development to deployment, maintenance, feature delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Be Reliable, Be Trusted: Ensure high quality through automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices. Deliver stable releases and proactively monitor app performance and crash rates.
• Be One Team: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers throughout scoping, planning, implementation, and review processes.
• Obsess With Impact: Create seamless, high-quality user experiences and continuously improve usability and performance based on user feedback and data-driven insights.

What you bring

• 5+ years of professional experience in Android software development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, experience with Kotlin Multiplatform is a strong plus
• Hands-on experience with Dagger, Koin, Coroutines, Flow, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Jetpack Compose, REST, and Room / SQLDelight
• Experience with testing frameworks and quality practices (JUnit, MockK, Espresso – unit and UI testing)
• Solid understanding of software architecture, scalable systems, and code optimization
• Experience with Gradle and Kotlin DSL
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows (GitLab Pipelines, Fastlane), Crashlytics, and Google Play Console
• An ownership mindset with end-to-end accountability and a strong drive to deliver results
• Strong learning agility and reflective thinking, with the ability to continuously improve
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Fluent English; German is a plus
