Harmonics Recruitment is currently hiring for a Front end Developer for a 12 month contract with possibility of permanency,

This role offers a unique opportunity to work for a growing Irish SME to build software applications focused on climate change challenges. Leveraging the latest cloud technologies, we are ambitious to grow our products and their impact.

The right candidate can work autonomously and will have an opportunity to become a key member of this SME. For the first 2-3 years, the candidate will be involved in building a brand-new product, currently at MVP stage, and scaling it to new markets.

The company is based in Limerick and provides an opportunity for hybrid-working within Ireland primarily in the Limerick or Dublin regions.

Tech Stack :- Serverless, event-driven, multi-tenant, SaaS, web and mobile based application, AWS, CDK, NoSQL databases, React, React Native, HTML5, CSS, and Typescript.

Job responsibilities

• Develop secure high-quality production code for cloud based (web and mobile) applications.
• Full-stack development with a primary focus on front-end (React or React-Native) and opportunities to improve back-end experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications, ensuring smooth and efficient functionality.
• This is a hands-on role, coding approx. 70/80%, creating new features and new products while also working on existing applications.
• Be creative in development and technical troubleshooting.
• Improve products through feedback and input from key stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines as code.
• Interest in emerging technologies and industry trends and eager to spread knowledge to other team members.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Must have strong hands-on experience (3+ years) using Typescript, preferably front-end development.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and related web technologies.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• An appetite to contribute to backend development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player and good communicator.
• Stamp 4 Visa or EU Passport is essential.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with React or React Native.
• Experience/familiar with Cloud (AWS), Serverless Architecture, Agile, DevOps (CI/CD) and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
• Experience of mobile app development.
• Knowledge of Python scripting.
• An understanding of methodologies such as GraphQL APIs, CI/CD, Security and/or Testing frameworks.
• Experience with Figma and screen design
