Java Developer

Our client, a leading organisation based in Killarney, Co. Kerry, is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join their growing software team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale applications, contribute to software architecture, and develop high-quality solutions using modern technologies. Working across the full software development lifecycle, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build and maintain scalable Java applications that support critical business operations. This is a full-time, hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and web services.
• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code following best practices.
• Participate in system design, code reviews and technical discussions.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimise application performance.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Mentor junior developers and promote coding standards.

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Strong commercial experience with Java, Spring Boot and SQL.
• Experience developing REST APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of GitHub Copilot (or similar AI-assisted development tools).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
• Knowledge of Docker, Microsoft Azure, Linux and PL/SQL is desirable.
• Experience with ERP/CRM integrations would be advantageous.

Salary in the region of €60,000 is offered.
