My client, an international lending institution is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and management of its mortgage product portfolio. This role is responsible for driving product strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, analysing market trends, and delivering competitive mortgage solutions that meet customer needs while supporting commercial objectives. This person will work closely with Risk, Compliance, Credit, Operations, Marketing and Sales to deliver innovative mortgage products throughout the product lifecycle. This role requires two days per week on site and has excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the mortgage product strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Manage the full product lifecycle from concept and design through to launch, enhancement and retirement.
• Monitor market trends, competitor offerings and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation.
• Analyse product performance, profitability and customer outcomes, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with underwriting, credit risk and operations teams to ensure products remain commercially viable and operationally efficient.
• Produce business cases for new product initiatives and enhancements.
• Define pricing, product features, eligibility criteria and lending propositions.
• Ensure all mortgage products comply with applicable regulatory and consumer protection requirements.
• Support the implementation of digital mortgage journeys and customer experience improvements.
• Monitor key performance indicators and report on product success.

Experience Required

• 3+ years' experience in mortgage product management or mortgage proposition development within retail banking, specialist lending or building societies.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products.
• Experience managing financial products through the full product lifecycle.
• Knowledge of mortgage lending processes and underwriting principles.
• Experience working with cross-functional delivery teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Experience preparing business cases and presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to deliver product enhancements and strategic initiatives.
