Location: Hybrid – Ireland

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We're partnering with a Irish organisation to recruit an experienced Information Security Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of information security governance, cyber risk and compliance while helping shape the organisation's security strategy.

The Role

You'll lead the organisation's Information Security Management System (ISMS), oversee cyber and enterprise risk, drive compliance with key security standards, and work closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen cyber resilience and support secure business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance an ISO 27001-aligned ISMS.
• Lead governance, risk and compliance initiatives.
• Conduct cyber risk assessments and maintain the risk register.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and recognised security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST CSF and SOC 2.
• Support audits, certifications and regulatory requirements.
• Drive AI governance and emerging technology risk management.
• Promote security best practices across the business and support secure cloud and digital transformation initiatives.

About You

• 8+ years' experience in Information Security, Cyber Security or GRC.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2 and GDPR.
• Experience leading audits, risk assessments and compliance programmes.
• Previous technical IT or infrastructure security experience is highly desirable.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor are advantageous.
