Our customer, a leading multinational technology company, is seeking a Data Privacy Specialist/ Paralegal to join their privacy team on a long-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with an interest in data privacy to gain hands-on experience supporting GDPR compliance within a fast-paced, global organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to GDPR-related data subject rights requests, including requests relating to the right to erasure ('right to be forgotten').
- Support the delivery of day-to-day data privacy and GDPR compliance activities.
- Work closely with the Data Protection Officer (DPO), Privacy team, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant handling of privacy matters.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to privacy requests and compliance processes.
- Assist with other ad hoc data privacy and regulatory matters as required.
Key Requirements
- Previous exposure to, or experience in, data privacy or GDPR matters.
- Experience working in a data privacy advisory capacity within a law firm or technology company is preferred.
- A legal background as a Paralegal or similar legal professional.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
- IAPP certification (CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT) is desirable, or a genuine interest in obtaining an IAPP qualification.
