Senior Network Engineer – Dublin (On-site) Contract

We’re hiring an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a global enterprise team based in Dublin. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in large-scale data centre environments and enjoys both operational and project-based work.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute changes on the client network.
• Lead network projects relating to network deployment/implementation, network scaling, technology refresh, application of best practices, and network optimization.
• Troubleshoot network routing, interconnectivity, performance, and configuration issues.
• Preserve standards within the networking toolset, ensuring full compliance with those standards and policies.
• Provide solutions and processes that are simple, long-lasting, and can be replicated.

What we are looking for:

• Large scale environment experience a MUST
• SDWAN hands configuration and deployment experience
• Deep understanding 24*7 business critical environment
• Strong knowledge of WAN technologies
• Strong understanding of DR & BDR in OSFP, and how route reflectors are used
• Experience in working with VPN solutions in general and good IPSEC knowledge
• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing and core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF/IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, ACLs, IPSEC, DNS, SDWAN etc.
• Any skills related to automation/software development/programming are a welcomed, but not mandatory
• Experience in working with Cloud or Network Fabric technologies (VXLAN, Fabricpath) are a bonus
