Commercial Product Manager

JOB PURPOSE

Act as product specialist, ensuring that the products are correctly selected, priced and positioned to expand and defend Acer’s market share and profit. Deeply understand the customer needs, the market and the competition to keep the business on track and to respond proactively to a highly dynamic market. Also identify the opportunities of the new products in the roadmap.


KEY Responsibilities

  • Efficient product portfolio management with strong focus on product and pricing, based on market, customer and competitor knowledge.
  • Define business potential and key opportunities using market data and competitive analysis.
  • Actively contribute to the definition, management and control of financial business plan.
  • Stock and sellout management.
  • Drive strategies to develop market share and achieve revenue targets as well as create brand awareness of product line-up.
  • Promotional plan definition and management with correct balance between market share and business profitability.
  • Coordination with Trade Marketing & Marcom department to define product launch, actions throughout the products’ life cycle and special events.
  • Product training to internal Salesforce and Customers

INTERFACE (CUSTOMERS AND SUPPLIERS)

Internal: Business Managers, Product Managers, Marketing Team, Sales Teams, EMEA and HQ teams

EDUCATION

  • Preferred/not mandatory: academic degree with focus on Business, Marketing, Engineering or Computer Science


EXPERIENCE

  • 2 + years product management or product sales experience
  • 2+ years of working experience in IT market


SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strategic thinking, financial orientation.
  • Good technical understanding of products and IT technologies.
  • Technology enthusiastic with a strong interest in digital innovation and electronic products.
  • Knowledge of P&L Logic.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Communication and presentation skills.
  • Independent well-structured working method as well as team working abilities.
  • Result-driven attitude.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Problem-solving attitude and negotiation skills.


LANGUAGES

  • Fluent English level: spoken and written.
