We’re looking for a future-oriented Automation-Focused IS Administrator to join us at Telia Lithuania.

I’m Justinas Buckus, Head of the Cloud Platforms team. We manage critical infrastructure environments spanning private cloud platforms (VMware), storage systems, FC SAN fabrics and public clouds. But we are choosing to do things differently. We are currently shifting away from "classical" system administration toward a fully automated infrastructure environment.

Our Ultimate Goal: We are actively building an advanced framework where day-to-day provisioning and infrastructure operations are orchestrated using Ansible/AWX, N8N and Agentic AI. If you have a foundational coding/scripting mindset and want to dive straight into the intersection of infrastructure, automation, and AI, we want to scale your growth.

What you’ll do:

You won’t just be maintaining infrastructure - you will actively work on transforming how it is operated day-to-day. As part of a collaborative 6-person team, your main focus areas will be:

• Learn our core operational environment: Get hands-on with our Cloud, Storage, SAN, and other platforms by handling day-to-day operational tickets, requests, and infrastructure changes.
• Drive the AI & Automation journey: Partner directly with our engineers to build custom automations, establish smart integrations, and develop AI agents designed to automate away manual provisioning operations.
• Join our team rotation: Participate in our regular on-call duty rotation to support our critical systems (a 5-day rotation occurring roughly once a month).
  
  

What will help you thrive in this role:

We do not expect you to be an expert in SAN fabrics or virtualization from day one - we are fully prepared to teach you the technical infrastructure stack. Instead, we are looking for the correct mindset and foundational scripting skills:

• The Automation Baseline: Practical exposure or hands-on experience using Ansible / AWX and foundational scripting skills in Python (or another programming language).
• The "Automation-First" Mindset: A strong sense of technical ownership. When you spot a manual, repetitive process, your natural instinct is to think about how to script it or build an API integration to solve it.
• Curiosity for AI: A genuine interest in exploring and experimenting with modern operational tools, APIs, and AI-driven workflows (like n8n or agentic systems).
• Public Cloud Awareness: Basic familiarity with cloud logical frameworks (AWS, Azure, or OCI) is a great plus, but not a hard requirement.
• Languages: Fluency in both Lithuanian and English.
• Compliance Ready: Ability to pass standard background checks, as we operate critical infrastructure.

Monthly salary range for this position – €2720 - €4080 (gross) + annual performance/sales bonuses. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
