About Role

One of our clients, a prominent high-tech engineering firm operating in the specialized Defence and communications sector, is seeking a skilled professional to join their engineering team. In this role, you will analyze customer requirements and develop system-level solutions for advanced, high-performance tactical, naval, and secure network infrastructure. This position involves working with diversified technologies, including embedded distributed systems, voice and data protocols, and secure cross-domain networking.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs and develop a comprehensive set of system requirements.
• Determine how existing systems and infrastructure can be leveraged to meet emerging technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex software, hardware, and interconnected system problems.
• Create both high-level and low-level design (HLD/LLD) documentation for communication networks.
• For Senior candidates: Oversee network architecture design and manage computer systems within virtualized and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) environments.
• Provide hands-on configuration and management of Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Communications Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Good understanding of radio and digital communications systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, breaking problems down into component parts to identify and diagnose root causes.
• Good communication skills in English and Portuguese, both spoken and written.
• For Senior candidates: Network-specific certifications (such as CCNA or equivalent experience).
• Advanced routing and switching knowledge, including hands-on experience with OSPF, BGP, VRRP, IPSEC, and VLANs.
