IT Technical Security Engineer

Are you passionate about IT security and incident response? Do you have experience with SIEM tools (Splunk) and EDR solutions like CrowdStrike? Do you enjoy analyzing security incidents and improving operations in a complex environment? Then this role could be a great fit for you.

For our site in Bioggio (near Lugano), we are looking for an IT Security Engineer to strengthen our Security Architecture & Operations team. In this role, you will focus on incident detection and response, security platform administration, and the continuous improvement of security operations.

If you know that a firewall is only one layer of security and are familiar with Zero Trust (NIST SP 800-207) and defense-in-depth, this role is for you. Start date: immediately or by arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Manages Splunk SIEM administration, configuration, monitoring, and use case tuning
• Manages CrowdStrike EDR administration, policy configuration, endpoint monitoring, and response actions
• Detects and responds to security incidents (e.g. phishing, malware, breaches, vulnerabilities) by performing incident response activities including triage, investigation, containment, and root cause analysis
• Maintains and improves security controls
• Coordinates penetration tests and security assessments
• Ensures security requirements are implemented in projects and change management processes
• Participates in an on-call rotation
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Proven experience (min. 3 years) in security incident management and the use of related tools (e.g. EDR, SIEM, DLP, PAM, vulnerability management)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Italian as main language; good command of English required. Knowledge of German is an advantage
• Security certifications such as CySA+, GCIH, or SC-200 are a plus
