What awaits you

• Collaborate with the team to evaluate and implement cloud-based data architecture solutions, especially within the Cloud Data Hub (CDH) ecosystem
• Develop and maintain medium- to high-complexity data transformations using Python on AWS, and contribute to infrastructure provisioning and automation with Terraform
• Design and implement SQL-based data transformations and data models
• Contribute to the implementation of a self-service reporting portal to enhance production data analysis and reporting capabilities
• Troubleshoot and optimize data-processing workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability
• Contribute to data quality monitoring and alerting mechanisms
• Participate in code reviews and actively share knowledge within the team
• Provide technical documentation and support for business stakeholders
  
  

What should you bring along 

• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience, with proven experience in data integration, data engineering, data analysis, or a comparable technical role
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Terraform
• Practical experience with AWS data engineering services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Step Functions, ECR, EC2) and Cloud Data Hub (CDH) platform (consuming and providing data)
• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems such as DynamoDB, with good understanding of data modeling and profiling (relational and dimensional models)
• Enforce engineering best practices within the team, promoting code quality, testing, and efficient development workflows, CI/CD improvements on AWS cloud
• Basic / medium knowledge on Containerization with Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience working in an international agile organization (Jira/Confluence)
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
• Flexibility to adapt to new tools, technologies, and changing business requirements
• Nice to have: Amazon infrastructure capabilities, CDEC Blueprints, reporting / dashboarding skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Knowledge of German is an advantage
