Job Description

We are searching for an IT-Security – SOC Analyst for our Digital Workplace-M365 & Authentication Team in Timisoara.

A SOC (Security Operations Center) Analyst is a cybersecurity professional responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents within an organization’s IT environment.

The role involves real-time analysis of security alerts generated by various security tools, conducting initial investigations to determine the severity and impact of incidents, and coordinating response efforts to mitigate threats.

SOC Analysts work closely with other IT and security teams to ensure the ongoing protection of information systems, maintain security documentation, and contribute to continuous improvements in security posture. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts and events in real time using various security tools;
  • Analyze and investigate potential security incidents to assess severity and impact; identify risks and vulnerabilities in IT systems and applications;
  • Coordinate and execute response actions to mitigate identified threats;
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to protect information systems;
  • Maintain and update security documentation and configuration items and Act as a subject matter expert on security-related projects and ensure accountability for project outcomes;
  • Implement approved technology changes according to established standards and best practices.
  • Identify and implement solutions to enhance business processes and productivity;
  • Provide Tier 2 support, troubleshooting, and resolve incidents and service requests escalated from the service desk team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree with preferable 5 years of technical experience in designing and implementing IT-Security systems;
  • Direct experience with IT Security systems like SIEM, XDR, Vulnerability Mgmt and others;
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows, Linux operating systems and IT networks;
  • Fluent English speaker;
  • Good communication, organizational and project management skills;
  • Business oriented thought and action, problem solving skills and intercultural competences.
