Summer Student 2025 – Data Management and UI Development

Do you want to spend the summer combining programming, data management, and developing user-friendly interfaces? We are looking for a motivated summer student to join our team for a 6 to 8-week engagement from June to August, located in Oslo

INPEX Idemitsu Norge (IIN) is part of INPEX Corporation, Japan’s leading energy enterprise. The company entered the Norwegian Continental Shelf in 1989 by acquiring a stake in the Snorre field. The IIN office is located at Lysaker, and we currently employ around eighty highly skilled and experienced professionals.

The role:

As a summer student with us, you will be responsible for a project where you will:

• Develop scripts for data collection and filtering.
• Contextualize and organize the data in databases.
• Visualize and make the data available for further use.

This gives you a unique opportunity to combine technical skills with creative problem-solving. The work will be carried out in close collaboration with experienced developers and data managers.

Qualifications:

• Studying at the bachelor's or master's level, focusing on programming, computer science, or relevant fields, and close to completion.
• Basic programming experience (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar).
• Interest in data processing, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and visualization.
• Experience or familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI, databases such as MySQL or Postgres, and/or frontend frameworks like React or Vue is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and structured.
• Strong English skills, both written and verbal
