Site Reliability Engineer

Assignment description

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a long-term assignment at a financial client in Stockholm.

The assignment involves supporting the migration of a mission-critical platform to an on-premise OpenShift environment while establishing modern practices in Site Reliability Engineering.

You will play a key role in improving the platform's reliability, automation, observability and operational excellence.

This is a senior and operational role where you are expected to combine technical leadership with practical implementation.

Areas of responsibility

Drive improvements in reliability using SLOs, SLIs and Error Budgets.

Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Operate and optimize OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms.

Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.

Improve monitoring, logging and observability.

Automate deployments and operational processes.

Support performance tuning, capacity planning and optimization of the platform.

Contribute to security, compliance and platform governance.

Coach development and operations teams in SRE best practices.

Requirements

Must have:

At least five years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps or Platform Engineering.

Solid experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift and Docker.

Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably in Azure DevOps.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management, preferably with Ansible.

Experience with GitOps.

Experience with observability platforms such as Splunk and Dynatrace.

A strong focus on automation and good scripting skills.

Experience supporting Java applications and Oracle databases in a production environment.

Good understanding of SRE principles, including incident management, SLIs, SLOs and Error Budgets.
