JOB SUMMARY

As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for supporting local HR operations in Sweden. This includes ensuring the compliant management of payroll, employee lifecycle activities, general services, and industrial relations matters for the project.


You will ensure full compliance with Company standards, Client requirements, and applicable local legislation throughout construction and commissioning activities. This role will be to play a key part in a Bio-Energy Carbon Capture and Storage project.



RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as focal point for payroll processing, coordinating with external payroll providers, internal finance teams, line managers and employees;


• Collect, validate and submit payroll inputs (i.e. new hires, leavers, absences, overtime, allowances, benefits in kind, expenses claims, timesheets);


• Assist in the management of tax registrations, social security obligations and onboarding documentation (both locals and posted workers);


• Support the HR Manager in industrial relations matters, interfacing with trade unions, employers’ associations and external labor consultants;


• Act as a key HR interface for subcontractors on industrial relations and labor compliance topics;


• Support implementation and monitoring of applicable collective agreements;


• Ensure compliance with Swedish labor law (Working Hours Act, holidays, sick leave, termination rules, etc.);


• Coordinate general services for local and posted worker staff (office facilities, access badges, IT equipment, onboarding logistics);


• Support mobilization and demobilization processes for locally hired employees;


• Coordinate with Site Management on administrative and workforce support needs;


• Support accommodation, commuting or welfare-related logistics;



REQUIREMENTS

• Five years of HR operations experience in Sweden.


• Demonstrated expertise in payroll coordination and liaising with external payroll providers in Sweden.


• Familiarity with industrial relations and collective bargaining environments within Sweden is required.


• Experience managing posted workers in construction, engineering, or industrial projects in a multinational setting is highly desirable.


• Solid knowledge of Swedish labor law and Industrial relations system.


• Familiarity with trade unions (e.g. IF Metall, Unionen) and employers’ associations


• Move comfortably among all other common MS Office applications (including AI apps)


• Swedish and English proficient
