Role: L2 Network Security Engineer
Location: Cracow, Poland
Duration: Contract / FTE
Scope:
The role of a Network Security Engineer is responsible for the Operational Support aspects of the production network Security environment, which includes all aspects of the corporate Firewalls, Proxies and Intrusion Protection & Detection, and DDOS capabilities.
Key functions include:
- Providing second-level network Incident Management and Patch management for Load Balancer and Firewalls
- You will also work on service restoration, sustainability, and proactive service improvement.
- Participating and at times leading Major Incident conference calls and can identify required resources.
- Provide full Root Cause Analysis for any production outages.
- Implementing repeatable move, add, changes for security and proxy services.
- Responsible for Lifecycle implementation projects and building support documentation.
- Functioning as a point of contact for other engineers for Incidents and Changes.
- Employing production monitoring tools to ensure that all systems are running and available.
- Ensuring effective communication to internal customers.
Qualifications:
- 3 - 6 yrs experience in IT Network Operations
- Experience of working as part of a global team
- Technical networking ability to troubleshoot Network Security environments, Tools, etc.
- Teamwork: establish and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships with those contacted during the workday
PREFERRED (SKILLS / EXPERIENCES) FOR THE ROLE:
- Experience in Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA) and Citrix or NSX-ALB
- Responsible for the deployment of the global network security design standards
- Ensure compliance with internal audit, IT Risk and Security and regulatory requirements.
- Technical networking ability to design Network Security environments, Tools, etc.
- Experience with multiple Firewall and Proxy platforms such as Zscaler, Cisco, Azure, NSX-T, Fortinet and Checkpoint
- Availability tracking and technical elimination of project incidents/challenges
- Ability to shift workload/priorities as required by the transformation program
- Ability to translate port/protocol traffic flows to documented security policy/risk
- Ability to implement security policy on different network security platforms such as Cisco, Checkpoint, and Fortinet
- Ability to produce and present technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
