New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a skilled UX/UI designer to support one of our client's large-scale business modernization programs. This role extends beyond designing a single technology platform; the designer will work on multiple projects, tools, and systems to establish a cohesive and unified user experience across all touchpoints. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless interactions, consistent design languages, and intuitive workflows, ensuring a harmonious experience across various systems and solutions within the program. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in both user-centered design principles and creating visually appealing interfaces tailored to the unique needs of the agriculture. The role requires a deep understanding of how farmers, agents, and producers interact with digital tools, ensuring the platform is intuitive, efficient, and aligned with industry standards. The selected designer will play a pivotal role in improving usability, accessibility, and overall engagement of all users.
Responsibilities:
- User Research & Analysis: Conduct interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs. Create personas and journey maps to guide design decisions.
- Design & Development: Design wireframes, prototypes, and mockups; ensure WCAG compliance and collaborate with developers to bring designs to life.
- Unified Design System: Develop and maintain a design system for consistent user experiences across platforms.
- Collaboration: Work with stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and branding teams, to align designs with business and technical goals.
- Testing & Iteration: Conduct usability testing, analyze data, and refine designs iteratively.
- Knowledge Sharing: Train internal teams and create resources for sustained UX/UI practices.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
- Certification in UX Design (e.g., Certified User Experience Analyst, Google UX Design).
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design with a portfolio showcasing complex, user-centered solutions.
- Experience in designing wireframes, prototypes, and mockups, particularly in the agriculture, insurance, or public service sectors.
- Proven ability to conduct user research and usability testing with diverse user groups.
- Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and Canadian data privacy laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SaaS P&C insurance platforms and responsive design.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch).
- Understanding of data visualization techniques and data-driven platform design.
